You will find out on your first visit that Lanier Valley Dentistry operates a little differently from your usual dental office. There is a comfortable and clean environment that is welcoming. You will find friendly faces and happy people.
Your First Appointment
Your first visit will consist of a limited or comprehensive evaluation of your dentition, supporting structures, masticatory muscles, gums, and soft tissues of the oral cavity. During this time we will explain any issues that we see on x-rays and/or photographs that may take. From there we will provide you with treatment options. In the event of an emergency, our dentist may decide that treatment may be performed the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or extensive treatment plan may require further evaluation or a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.
Radiographic (x-ray) images we take at Lanier Valley Dentistry are of the highest quality. They are a low dose radiation digital imaging that uses a fraction of the radiation that is required to expose traditional plain film x-rays.
We will provide you with a treatment plan for all of your dental needs. If you have multiple needs, we do our best to categorize them according to urgency.
At Lanier Valley Dentistry we will file all insurance claims. We are considered In-Network provider for many companies because we believe in making every effort to provide you with the finest dental care and the most convenient financial options. To accomplish this goal, we work hand-in-hand with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures.
If you have dental insurance, we will call and get an estimate of your insurance coverage but please keep in mind that your individual policy and insurance company may have fine print that could change those estimates on the final EOB. It is always best to review your policy to limit surprises. If there is a need for major dental work and we need to be exact on how much of it will be covered, we can send a pre-treatment request to the insurance company. This may take up to 6 weeks to get back and is done at request of the patient.
If you have any problems or questions, please ask our staff. They are well informed and up-to-date. They can be reached by phone (678) 4-LENTZ-4. Please call if you have any questions or concerns regarding your initial visit. Please bring your insurance information with you to the consultation so that we can help expedite reimbursement.
We look forward to serving your dental needs. If you have any questions concerning the information seen here or to schedule an appointment with Dr. Colin P.
