Dr.Colin Lentz, DDS
Dr. Colin Lentz grew up just outside Indianapolis, Indiana in an old farming community called Fishers and is a third generation dentist after his father and grandfather. He did his undergraduate studies in Biomedical Sciences at Auburn University. His academic successes at Auburn made him eligible for Navy scholarship and helped him pursue his goal of becoming a dentist. Dr. Lentz received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery at Indiana University. While at IU, Dr. Lentz was President of the Student Body, on the Dean’s List and recognized for his leadership roles by the International College of Dentists.

Dr.Heather Ramsey, DDS
Dr. Heather Ramsey is a Georgia native and attended University of North Georgia where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry. After she finished her undergraduate studies, she attended the Medical College of Georgia Dental School in Augusta. She served as Vice President of her graduating dental class. Dr. Ramsey earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2005.

Dr. Colin Lentz... a US Navy Dentist & Expert in Implant Dentistry!
After dental school, Dr. Lentz was commissioned as a dentist into the US Navy and shipped off to beautiful Hawaii for his tour. While in the navy he completed comprehensive oral surgery, endodontic and prosthodontic rotations from specialists at Pearl Harbor Naval Base, Kaneohe Marine Corps Base and Tripler Army Medical facility. He was certified in basic and acute cardiac life support and credentialed in all privileges that a general dentist could assume in the military.

** What is a fixed provisional, and how is that different from the final prosthesis?
Provisional teeth are made of PMMA and ceramic materials. They look, feel, and function like natural teeth. On the day of surgery, your provisional teeth are placed on the dental implants and remain in place for 3-6 months, allowing the appropriate amount of time for your jaw bone to adhere to the implants. After your bone securely heals to the implants, you will then return to design your final “forever” teeth, usually made of zirconia, or other high-quality material determined by your Doctor.
