Leslie - Office Manager

Leslie is Dr. Lentz’s wife and is our chief financial officer. She enjoys working along side her husband and getting to spend time with our patients. She knows the office backwards and forwards but has started working from home since the twins were born (babies #4 & 5).

Leslie was born and raised in Birmingham, Al. She made University of Alabama’s highly competitive dance team and was a major component to their success. After two years, Leslie transferred to Auburn University and earned a bachelors degree in Zoology. When Leslie is not at the office she spends her time as personal assistant and chauffeur to their five children: Hensley, Heston, Hollis, Hudson, and Hunter. Leslie enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Jill - Registered Dental Hygienist

Jill was born and raised in Georgia in the small town of Lake City. She attended the University of Georgia where she studied and participated in multiple community projects. One of those projects included working with a group of patients in a hygiene clinic. Jill later transferred to Clayton State College to pursue her love of dentistry in dental hygiene. She received her Dental Hygiene degree in June of 1996 and has worked in dentistry for over 20 years. Jill brings a lot of experience to the Lanier Valley Dentistry dental team.

Jill continues to expand her dental knowledge by attending educational classes throughout the year and strives to stay up to date with current dental trends. Her goal is to meet the needs and preferences of each patient as well as maintain great relationships, provide comfortable treatment, and patient education. Satisfaction is her priority when it comes to the treatment of her patients!

She currently lives in Winder, GA with her two wonderful children: Griffin, who is attending UNG and Olivia, who cheers at WBHS. In her spare time, Jill enjoys spending time with her kids, family, and friends, lazy pool days, traveling, tailgating, watching Georgia Bulldog and Falcons football.

Penny - Certified Dental Assistant

Meet Penny our Lead Assistant, she joined our team in October 2013. Penny has been a Dental Assistant for over 10 years. She takes pride in providing her patients a comfortable environment so they always have a positive experience. The favorite part of her job is giving our patients the confidence to smile and the knowledge to keep that smile.

Another passion of Penny’s is her family. She and her husband Dan have two beautiful daughters. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, golfing, and being on their boat fishing or just relaxing and enjoying the lake. She also stays very active with training for many endurance challenges like the Spartan Race.

Jodie - Dental Hygienist

Jodie is a Dental Hygienist that has enjoyed a career in the dental field for over 21 years, with 15 of those years as a Hygienist. She graduated from Gainesville College and Lanier Technical College with Phi Beta Kappa Honors and the Colgate Star Award. She takes pride in her profession and loves to attend Continuing Education courses that keep her up to date with the latest in our field. She strives to educate her patients and keep them comfortable while helping them achieve great oral health. She enjoys working close to home and is honored to be a part of a caring, compassionate practice that implements the best dental technology for our patients.

On a personal note, she says, "I enjoy spending time with my husband and three boys. I also love traveling, baseball, college football, and shopping."

Jodie - "Staying on the cutting edge of dental procedures and techniques is important to me and I know that Dr. Lentz and Lanier Valley Dentistry share that same passion.'

Natalie - Dental Hygienist

Natalie was born and raised in the small town of Oakwood, Georgia. She was first introduced to the world of dentistry when she started her career in 2009 as a dental assistant. She enjoyed gaining experience as a dental assistant and office staff member while also attending college to pursue an education in dental hygiene. She attended the University of North Georgia and obtained her degree in Dental Hygiene from Lanier Technical College in 2016. Natalie graduated with honors and was awarded for having the best clinical skills of her dental hygiene class.

Since Natalie began working at Lanier Valley Dentistry, she has loved being able to get to know her patients and their families. She truly enjoys striving to make a difference in their oral health. Natalie attends continuing education classes where she is able to learn about the latest procedures and the most advanced technology available to better serve her patients.

Outside of dentistry, she loves being able to spend time with her wonderful family and friends. During her free time, Natalie also enjoys staying active at the gym, going to church, and traveling to the beach.

Dawn - Treatment Coordinator

Dawn joined the Lanier Valley Dentistry team in 2017 and will likely be one of the first smiling faces you see when you walk into the office. She has been in the dental field since 2006. Her extensive dental office experience and her dedication to excellent patient care complements our team of professionals. As a treatment coordinator, she helps our patients understand the benefits of their recommended dental treatment and how to interpret the complex world of dental insurance. After helping our patients understand financial terms and insurance coverage we can get our patients the care they need.

Dawn is a local to the area and she loves Georgia. She is happily married to her best friend Tj. Together they have 4 beautiful children: Destiny, Devin, Jonathan, and Kinsley. Dawn enjoys spending time with family and friends especially when everyone gets together for a Georgia football game. Go Dawgs!! She also spends a lot of time outdoors riding motorcycles, going to the lake, traveling and various other adventurous outings. Time with family and friends is very important to her.

Suzi - Insurance Specialist/Front Office

Suzi is our Insurance Specialist/Ninja. She has over 15 years of experience in the Dental field. Understanding and interpreting the labyrinth of insurance can make or break an experience at a dental office. Suzi is here to make sure that our treatment coordinators can be as clear and accurate as possible when communicating what insurance may or may not cover in any given treatment plan. Suzi and her husband moved to Georgia in 2013 from Illinois and they love it here! Outside of work she enjoys traveling the globe. Suzie is a self-proclaimed foodie and loves trying new restaurants and exotic foods. In addition to travel and food, she can be found hanging out as much as possible outdoors. She values her faith, family, and friends.

Laura - Receptionist

Laura started her dental career as a chairside assistant then transitioned to the business side 15 years ago. She is likely the first smiling face you will see when you walk into Lanier Valley Dentistry. Laura prides herself on creating meaningful relationships with our patients because she knows that she will have the opportunity to watch their families grow with us over the years. She is a scheduling ninja and responsible for finding an appointment that suits your needs. She also is a finance and insurance wizard; she works to help find the best possible option for financing treatment. She is aware that the family of patients we serve is what makes days at Lanier Valley Dentistry so great.

A prized facet of Laura’s job is forming relationships with patients. Laura says, “I truly look forward to seeing them again! The team at Lanier Valley is a great group of people that engenders the team atmosphere and encourages each other. That translates into a great patient experience.”

In her free time, Laura revels in spending time with her two daughters, as well as enjoying outdoor activities.

Andrea - Dental Assistant

Andrea Maultsby, born and raised in Augusta, Georgia. She moved to Atlanta in 2016 and decided to follow her heart in becoming a dental assistant. She attended Gwinnett Technical College and had the opportunity to intern at several different offices. The time spent with Dr. Lentz and the Lanier Valley Dentistry team was invaluable and it became obvious that there was something special here. Andrea was able to learn and have hands-on experience with his awesome team and patients. And since Andrea is so awesome, we asked her to join the team in June 2018! Andrea is grateful and honored to be apart of this team.

Before I became full- time at the office, I worked at Kohls. I’ve now decided to continue to keep working at on the weekends. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, bowling, playing pool, and pottery.
